School Facilities.
| King George V Secondary School was built during the ruling of British. Till now, the buildings are still strong. Some new buildings, for example ICT lab, Language lab, and Science labs were built to help teachers for the P&P lessons. Furthermore, students can also use the facilities in those buildings which provide them with various technology applications. |

'Surau'
 |
The school surau is where the
Islam students have their prayers and Islam classes. Based
on the Minute of Construction of Surau Meeting on 8 April
1993, donation was collected (RM5, 321.85) to build the
surau. The applicant to build the surau was finally approved
by the Education Department of Negeri Sembilan on 19 Mei
1993. |
| RM6 434.00 was collected until
August 1993. Later in 1994, the total collection became
RM7, 536.00. In 1995, we received RM15, 000.00 from our
Menteri Besar. By 30 April 2000 the total collection comes
to RM24, 640.26. The PTA again planned a few strategies
to collect contribution and the amount collected was RM60,265.40.
The biggest contribution came from Baitulmal Wilayah Persekutuan
that contributed RM20,000.00. Until 31 Julai 2000, the total
collection comes to RM85,005.66. Collection of contribution
was continued until Julai 2001 which became RM119,000.00. |
| Finally in November 2001, PTA
opened the tender for the construction of the surau. Rotasia
Sdn. Bhd. was given the tender at the price RM120,000.00.
The construction work started in December 2001. En. Md Sa'at
b. Atan, a teacher in SMK King George V was the supervisor
on behalf of the PTA. It was completed in August 2002. The
built up area was 234 square metre and can accomodate 230
people at a time. |

Swimming Pool
The period 1968-1969 under the
headship of Mr. K. Anandarajan was a vital period of change
and expansion. A new sports complex was created with a 25
metre swimming pool, making KGV the first school in the
State to possess one. On the 25 October 1969, His Royal
Highness The Yang Di Pertuan Besar, N.S. officially opened
the Sports Complex and the swimming pool.

Library
Our school library which is air-conditioned has computers and a wide variety of books. There are also magazines and Folio sections. A student can only borrow one book at a time and has to show their I-Card to be scanned by the librarians. The school library had also won an award for the ‘Best Library in Negeri Sembilan’ in 2005.
In the library, teachers and
pupils can read books, find reference books and borrow books.
There is the reference corner and red spot corner. Books
for examination classes and expensive books or limited books
are found at the red spot corner. Besides that, there are
newspaper cut outs which are filed according to topics.
There are at least 20 topics for cut out newspapers from
both Malay and English newspapers.

School Hostel
   |
As a premier school, the pupils
enjoy the benefit of staying in a hostel. The hostel for
boys consists of one three-storey block. The hostel was
built in 1 October 1976. The hostel for boys can accommodate
110 pupils. This hostel has 9 dormintory and six of them
are used by pupils. This hostel has a room for the warden,
a supervisor room, 2 air-conditioned study rooms, library
and computer room.
The girls too enjoy the benefit of staying in a hostel that
is Asrama Puteri Melayu which is located at Jalan Dato'
Abdul Malek, Seremban. This hostel is under the administration
of Sek. Men. Keb. Puteri. This hostel has 3 blocks of building;
one new block, one old block and a dining hall. This hostel
provides 10 dormintory which can accommodate 200 pupils.
The other facilities given in the hostel are office, library,
sick room, warden room, prayer room, guard house and also
transportation to school. |

Language Lab
| The lab can accommodate 40 pupils at a time.
In the lab a computer is provided with a projecter and screen.
All the pupils are provided with a headphone. The teacher
will be able to control the pupils at the main control board.
There are tapes and CDs. In this lab, students will be able
to learn languages aided by the tapes. |

School V3 Cafeteria
 |
SMK King George V is always
concerned with comfort of the pupils. One of the comfort
given to pupils is during recess. The school canteen which
is known as V3 Cafeteria can provide the comfort and up-to-date
information to pupils. V3 Cafeteria is provided with the
electronic bulletin board which is capable of giving information
to pupils while they are having their food.

Bus
 |
The bus was provided by the Ministry of Education.
The number plate is WJY 1748. The bus can carry 40 passengers.
To use the bus, approval must be obtained from the Principal. |

Cyber Cafe
 |
Pupils are allowed to use the
cyber cafe after school hours or when accompanied by their
teachers during school hours. The pupils are charged RM1
for every hour used. The room is equipped with 12 computers
and internet service.

School Field - Georgian Green
 |
This field was used during the
SUKMA games which took place in Negeri Sembilan. There are
2 football fields, 1 basketball court, 1 handball court,
2 badminton courts, 3 tennis courts. Other than that, the
facilities that are available are 2 stores, 2 toilets and
2 changing rooms. This field is rented to certain people
who wish to organise activities. The cost to rent field
A per game is RM90 and RM80 per game for field B. If a person
wants to rent the whole field, a payment of RM400 needs
to be handed to the school administration.

SMK King George V Co-operative Limited
is a registered co-operative and bound to the Co-operative
Act 1993 (502 Act). It is also registered as a member
of ANGKASA (Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad).
Membership is open to all staff and students
of King George V Secondary.
Registration fee is RM 1 and they must buy at least one
unit of share, priced at RM5 per share.
The school co-operative is opened every
school day during recess so that the students can purchase

This unit provides materials
to help teachers in their teaching. Some of the teaching
materials are provided by the Ministry of Education and
some created by the teachers themselves. The materials used
come in two forms, the audiovisual and non-audiovisual.
Examples of audiovisual materials are CDs, casettes and
videos while the non-auiovisual materials are charts, roll-up
board, maps and models. An unlimited supply of transparencies,
diskettes and blank CDs are also available for use. A room
is used to store all this materials. All borrowings must
be recorded in a log book provided.

RESOURCE GARDEN
|
A place to relax and see the greenery in the school. There is a fish pond in the garden. Some of the plants are now in the process of identification to label them. It was the brainchild of En. Ibrahim bin Musa who now serves as a Federal Inspector of Schools. |
