The School Resource Centre of SMK King George V, Seremban was established to act as a hub for teaching and learning activities.
From 2001 to 2002, it underwent four phases of upgrading:.

Philosophy of School Resource Centre
The SRC incorporates activities geared towards effective teaching and learning.
It is a concept focusing on systematic and centralized management that is all-encompassing so as to give
maximum benefits to all Georgians.
It stores and updates all information systematically as well as disseminates information fast whenever necessary.
The SRC is a service system which enables everyone to achieve the curriculum objectives and encouraging holistic
development,
that is, the intellectual, spiritual, emotional and physical development of students.

Aim
The SRC aims to create a society that harbours a desire to read, cherish knowledge and value information.
Objectives
To gather, store and disseminate information.
To enhance the quality of teaching and learning .
To design multi-media programmes to add to the collection of AVA that are fully integrated with critical
and creative thinking skills (CCTS).
To enhance the physical aspects of the library.
To increase the awareness of students, teachers and supporting staffs about the service and
amenities of School Resource Centre.
To increase the skills of students, teachers and support staff through the services and facilities provided
by the School Resource Centre.
To hone IT skills of SRC users in accessing information.
To instill the reading habit and the quest for knowledge through the concept of life-long learning.
To maximise the use of the resources available for enquiry learning and research.

Services
Library
There are a collection of books in the library. SMK KGV aim to achieve the ratio of 1 student to 25 books before 2010.
The collection of books consists of every study field, including journals, magazines and newspaper.
Language Lab
The Language Lab operates with the hardware facilities. The process of learning and teaching becomes
more interesting in the Language Lab.
The lab can be used during the learning of Malay, English,
Islamic studies, History and other subjects as well.
Self Access Learning Corner (SALC)
SALC is located in the library. It enables 30 students to improve their English at a time
Cyber Cafe
Cyber Cafe is the world's information centre. There are 10 computers which with internet connection.
Students can surf the
net without any charges. They can use the internet to complete their assignment.
Anjung Maya Corner (SAM)
A place to to take tea breaks, chat with friends or surf the net by 'wifi' system
Teaching Materials (BBM)
Teaching Aids are available for teachers. Teachers and students are encouraged to prepare teaching aids.

Theatrette
This lecture hall can accomodate 100 students at a time. It is equipped with whiteboard, mechanical screen,
VCD player, DVD player and computer

| Official Opening Ceremony of
the School Resource Centre |
The Menteri Besar of NSDK, YAB Dato Hj. Mohd B. Hj. Hasan officially declared the SRC open on 30 April 2005. He donated RM30 000 to the school's PTA
with the aim of improving the library's circulation system and increasing the number of fiction and non-fiction books.
The day's programme included :
a choir presentation led by SRC librarians, and exhibition of Teaching Aids created by the academic staff, booths set up by students involved
in the Celcom Youth Ambassador programme, Toyota Eco Youth Programme, and SEED (Schlumberger Excellence in Educational Development).

| One Family-One Book Campaign (2004 - 30.4.05) |
The campaign was aimed at increasing the number of books in the library. Each family in the school was asked
to contribute a book to the SRC .
The SRC managed to collect around RM10 000 for this purpose. |
