On the 18th of January 2007, the annual cross country run was held which saw students running a 7km long course through Seremban town. Of course, one does not run an ardous course without warming up first. This year, the school invited a professional aerobics trainer to conduct the warming-up session. Students and teachers alike had fun attempting to perform the various aerobic exercises to the beat of music.
The runners (and walkers) were flagged off in the Georgian Green field and ran up through Lake Gardens and passing the Store, where there was a water station manned by a few students and teachers. The course then headed back into Lake Gardens and to the school field. Besides the teachers who were stationed at various checkpoints, there were also Red Crescent Society members ready to help any unfortunate runner, as well as Army and Police Cadets, who, with the help of Police Officers, directed the runners to keep on the right course.
Despite that, a few runners managed to go off course; but one of them still managed a second placing in her category. Certificates were awarded to the fastest 150 runners in each category (Girls1, Girls2, Boys1, Boys2). As the top ten runners for each category were announced, the students from the same house as the runner cheered loudly. Sheikh Ahmad house came out overall champions for the cross country.
However, most students would agree that just being able to finish the race was a prize in itself. Side-effects of the race included aching muscles, unfinished homework, and poor attendance (both physically and mentally) in class for the rest of the day.
