YB DATUK SERI DR. FONG CHAN ONN is the Minister of Human Resources, Malaysia, a post that he held since December 1999. Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Deputy Minister of Education from October 1990 till December 1999. He is currently Vice President of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) - the second largest party in the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition since 1996 and a Member of Parliament for Selandar (renamed Alor Gajah in 2004), Melaka since 1990. As the Minister of Human Resources, Dr Fong has brought numerous changes to the Ministry, including setting up the Electronic Labour Exchange for job seekers, computerising SOCSO claims and the expanding and upgrading of Industrial Training Institutes. As the Deputy Education Minister, Dr Fong will best be remembered for his efforts in injecting vigour and recognition to Chinese schools. Dr Fong also sits on the National Information Technology Council, the Cabinet Committee on National Competitiveness and the Cabinet Committee on Integrity In Government Management. YB Hj Zakaria Nordin, graduated with a Diploma in Land Surveying from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), obtained his Degree in Surveying & Mapping and later gained a Master in Business Administration from Northern Territory University, Australia.
Currently, YB Hj Zakaria Nordin is a Work Secretary for Badan Perhubungan UMNO, Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus; ADUN for Ampangan area; member of Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan, Negeri Sembilan and Chairman of Jawatankuasa Bertindak Pendidikan, Penerangan, Belia & Sukan, Negeri Sembilan. He also holds key positions in various societies and committees.

Profesor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Mohd. Rashdan Haji Baba
was born in Kampung Berkat, Chembong, Rembau on the 31st of October 1935. He was the head of Kolej Pertanian Malaya from1965 to 1969, the first Deputy Chancellor for Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)(1969-71) and also the first Deputy Chancellor for Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (UPM)(1971-82). He then reached the peak of his career when he recieved the Professor Emeritus title from UPM on the 14th of August 1982 and the honourable degree as the Doctor of Law from UKM on the 3rd of July 1999. Besides, he has also recieved the Doctor of Science Honourable Degree from the University of Reading and Doctor of Law from the University of Leeds. |

Zawiyah Baba was a member of the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) and represented Asia/Ocenia region in the cultural heritage networking department in the year 2005. She attended this meeting which was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Abdul Latiff bin Haji Mohiden

Abdul Latiff bin Haji Mohiden is better known as Latiff Mohiden and his pen names are A. Latiff Mohiden and Alma. He was born in Seremban on the 20th of August 1938. He is a well known poet and artist in Malysian. To date, his poems have been translated to English, Chinese, German, Italian, Danish and also Tamil. Sungai Mekong, Kembara Malam and Wayang Pak Dalang are the books that contain compilations of his poems. He has also won the 'Hadiah Sastera Malaysia' in the year 1971 besides winning the South East Asian Write Awards in 1984. As an artist, he has exhibited his paintings in the country and also in places like Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg (Germany), Bangkok (Thailand), Singapore, New Delhi (India), New York (United States), Sidney (Australia) and many other places in the world. His paintings are a combination of 3 aspects that make them look outstanding. |

Suhaimi Baba is one of the best directors in Malaysia. She directed the hit movie Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam and its sequel. Her first film was Selubung and Ringgit ke Syorga. At the moment, she is directing a movie by the title 1957 which is set for release before the 50th national day celebration this year. This movie will be about Tunku Abdul Rahman's fight for freedom. |

Low Sook Yee

Low Sook Yee (Chinese: 劉淑怡 ) or popularly known as Suki, is the winner of the One in a Million competition. It is Malaysia's first ever reality singing competition to offer a one million ringgit prize to the winner.
At its grand finale on September 22, 2006, she garnered 39% of the votes with her rendition of the songs, Berdiri and Everything. She ousted Muhammad Alif bin Mohd Satar and Ahmad Faizal Tahir who had 27% and 34% of the votes respectively.
She is a Chinese Malaysian who hails from Seremban, the capital of one of the smaller Malaysian states south of Kuala Lumpur. She wass 16 years old at the time of her victory.
Her former secondary schools are SMK Methodist (ACS), Seremban (Form 1 to 3) and SMK King George V, Seremban (Form 4 and 5). |

Punch Gunalan

'Punch' Gunalan
was born in Sepang on the 2nd of April 1944. He is a talented and naturally gifted right handed badminton player. He played in the 1969-1970 Thomas Cup which took place
in Kuala Lumpur. In the finals, Malaysia met Indonesia. He played in the first singles match as well as the second singles match. He also paired up with Ng Boon Bee in the second doubles and provided one point for Malsysia. Even though Malaysia lost 7-2 in that tie, to get to the final in the Thomas Cup is already a great achievement. This can be said because 'Punch' Gunalan and his team mates palyed against Indonesian greats like
Rudi Hartono and Mulijadi.
